RVi3 & Toad Battery Charger Plus

Does anyone have a setup with the RVi3 and a Toad Battery Charger Plus? I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler with the RVi3 and recently on our trips of between 4-6 hours the Jeep winds up with a dead battery on arrival (jump starts though). I do have to have the RVi3 plugged in with constant power and the steering wheel ignition on accessory or on in order for the steering wheel not to lock when being towed RVi3 stated that the power drain from their unit is not that great so I'm thinking the power drain is from having the ignition set this way. I'm contemplating installing the Battery Charger Plus to fix the jeep dead battery on arrival for longer trips. Any information would be appreciated
