The Qs are plenty tough, so we just have the fabric cover for ours. Then just slide it into the storage area, tools are in a bag that slides under it. I take the gas cylinder off and bungee it to the grill inside. We travel with a Baby Q, and have the 220 at home. The Baby takes a lot less space, and is plenty big for the two of us. Doesn't really need a container.
We also have a Baby Q, probably at least ten years old and an awesome little grill. Anyway, never needed a container for it either and we keep several cylinders in a little rack I installed in the storage compartment. My grill tools are hanging inside the door in my 5th's propane compartment.
