I think some kind of sway control is always needed, regardless of how big or small a trailer anyone is towing with whatever kind of tow vehicle they are using.
But, about the WD it self? As long as your truck handles well, there's no need for the WD system.
Question? Did you already get rid of your Husky system? It would be interesting if you just inserted the reducer sleeve in your receiver hitch on the new truck and could try the Husky with the new truck and see if it makes any difference in handling performance. However, if you already got rid of it, then you'll never be able to compare. In which case, test the waters a little more with shorter, slower drives towing with the new truck, increasing your experiences and confidence in the total rig a little at a time. If you reach the point where things just don't feel right, then consider a new WD system.
Here again, as long as it seems OK and your headlights are not pointing in the trees, it's your call.
(I personally would use WD on your set up, but I'm a chicken **** driver anyway. ;) )
