I read today, that costs will increase for ALL medigap policies to cover this.

I get my meds from ADC (www.alldaychemists.com). For my meds, I can get a year's supply of 2 meds for the cost of one med's 3-month co-pay. I've found that the meds from there are made by the same company that makes the med for sale in the U.S.

My lovely uses Wal-Mart insulin at $25. per bottle with the blessing of her Doctor. She has the same results as the high priced brands. The only downside is the needle and vial instead of the pens. It has saves us thousands of dollars. Check it out. Oh and BTW no prescription needed!! Buy it anywhere there is a Wal Mart.

Don't have one 50 Years work as a union carpenter paid off!

We both hit it last year. The only med I take that is expensive with no generic is the insulin. I hit the hole around September. My wife has to expensive drugs and hit the hole in July. When she hit the cat coverage the price dropped way down. It killed our budget last year.

I got a cough in July...while on the road. The idiots kept prescribing spendy meds even though I tried to tell them it was NOT bronchitis. Yip.I hit it in Dec....a week after I got into a specialist and he changed the prescrptions. :) I was going to have to pay 45% of Dec reg meds....but oh, wait....we're near Mexico. Went to Mexico and paid 1/4 what I would have had to pay.

DW hit it mid April last year. No fancy KOA's last year. Hopefully this coming year will be better and we can travel more.

Fortunately I haven't made it yet with only two prescriptions. Supposedly it will phase out one of these days. It's one of those Congressional compromises that sometimes needs to be done to get something passed.
