Too many monitors

I have a dash cam, a GPS, a rear observation monitor, a back up monitor for my 5th wheel hitch. I am at a loss as to how to mount them so they are not in the way and convenient to see....

We have owned our RV for around 11 years now, and twice in the past we have been let down on RV trips by the coach batteries not getting charged from the engine alternator when traveling.

The reason was corroded contacts on the solenoid that connects the engine battery to the coach batteries whenever the engine is running.

I now have two voltmeters on the cab dash .... one showing engine battery voltage and one showing coach battery bank voltage. When they don't read the same, something is wrong. i.e. If the interconnect solenoid has corroded/degraded contacts ... meaning that the coach batteries aren't getting charged properly when traveling ... the coach battery voltage reads lower than the engine battery voltage.

Is that battery voltage reading the engine battery or the coach batteries?

Since the batteries combine once the engine is started it is the voltage of both banks technically.

They still have AAA Trip-Ticks. You just download them now. Print them out now if you like. I used one on my going to Nebraska to see the eclipse trip.

Easy solution. Just leave them off and use YOUR skills instead.

Yeah, let's go back to AAA Trip-Tiks too while we're at it.

Only one really needed is the dash cam.

Who says there's never a cop around when you need one ๐Ÿ™‚ ). (NOTE.. I watched it like a week later),

But Myron .... notice my post from above ... how do you keep on eye on your all-important coach batteries while traveling hours and hours on the road? :h

My coach has the Medallion display system on the dash. You have to look close in the picture to see it. It gives me battery voltage, outside air temp, air pressures, oil pressures, water and transmission temps, antenna up alarms, lack of deoderant alarms, snooze alarms, and many more things. That is controlled by the silver thingy on the left above the jack leveler. :B

that's the reason I went with the Garmin Nuvicam. It's my dash cam, gps and backup/rear view monitor all in one.

I have a Nuvi. It has only one jack for the charger or a computer for updates.
Is there an add on for video input?

Not at all. Everything is in the normal viewing range. Just as you scan your normal guages you can scan your monitors.

One does not concentrate on them. The main monitor is in support of the mirrors. It is used primarily when changing lanes to make sure no one has pulled next to the toad.

The TPMS is never scanned unless an alarm goes off. The phone is blue tooth to the radio but is rarely used.

There is a reason the gps, phone, and rear view monitor are where they are. They do not force me to remove my eyes from the field of view. The rear view camera monitor was originally in the dash. That WAS a dangerous place.

The radio was low and impossible to reach as well.

I am a pilot and scanning gauges while looking out the cockpit is natural for me.

One eye is fishing and the other is digging bait.

Rear view mirrors, a map and watch 11 vehicles all the time. Unless I am changing lanes or backing up, I never look back, those guys are responsible for them selves. Red ad blue lights may attract me though.
