Try this test: Hook up the trailer, but do NOT hook up the electric plug to the trailer....
Thanks, this is a good suggestion. I will also try this today.
I have searched the internet, and can't seem to find a scenario where wiring would make the brakes in the vehicle lock up. I spent about 3 hours trying to find a scenario on the web. However, my google skills may be lacking. But this is a good test idea, and I thank you SO MUCH for trying to help me.
As I said, I have a very long trip scheduled in a week, and I really need to have this resolved. I will take it to a repair shop if I have to, but am mechanically inclined enough to fix it myself, I think, if I know what is wrong.
