  • Discount tire has these and under the warranty it states 1yr, or less than 2/32 wear, free replacement and 6 yr prorated after the 2/32.

They are matching the warranty of the Maxxis 8008. I have been using Maxxis for over 10 yrs and have had 1 tire warrantied in the 5th year and it only cost me $32. This is not a road hazard warranty, but is the tire manufacturer warranty against defects like tread seperation, etc.

I'm curious how well these new good year tires turn out to be. I hope they're on to something.I know the Marathons have a bad rap. At least they're hearing that we're all frustrated with the cheap china made tires.
  • Interesting article and if there were not other tires I think are better for my driving location I might look for the Goodyear ST tires.

However, that N speed rating means they cannot handle heat as well as LT tires and I run through the desert where a ST will blow out at 60 mph even when it is brand new. If my present tires give out I will go with the Finnish Nokian Rotiiva AT- 235/75R15 113S which costs around $117 shipped to my door and $6 to mount.

I also like the Nexen Roadian HTX RH5- 265/70R15 112S but I am not sure they will mount on my 6 inch wide 15 inch rims. 235 is about as wide is recommended for that width of rim.

Anyway at present I have the 235/75/R15 108 S rated Nexens and so far they are working fine and only cost $82 plus $6 to mount. I neither know or care where they are made. I have had the 16 inch version on my truck for years and now I have the 15's on the 5er.
