- Drew_KExplorerIt depends on the weight of your travel trailer. I just bought a TT in Texas, and anything over around 4K or 5K pounds is required to have an annual inspection. I can't remember if that's the empty or gross weight though.
I also bought an enclosed car trailer last year in Oklahoma and then had to register it in Texas. Same deal, except I had to get it inspected BEFORE I could register it in Texas. - BB_TXNomadHere it is from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles.
- TomHaycraftExplorerThanks for the reminder, added that to my list of things for the local shop to knock out next week when I have them install a wet-bolt kit on the suspension!
- gdwebExplorerby law, yes. most don't. we bought new last year and no inspection. 1st 5er in 96 didn't have one and never did. never any problems with yearly registration.
- wandering1ExplorerYes.
- Passin_ThruExplorerVA doe's and they just wait for an excuse to give tickets here. Truckers call it the Communist state for a reason.
- KBfiredogExplorerI am on my 3rd 5th wheel since 2003. Never had any of them inspected or payed for the yearly registration. I know I am a bad person.KB
