One other thing, the 42 gal tote is the only model right now that comes with the pneumatic tires as a standard feature. You can get the pneumatic tires for the others but you have to buy an upgrade kit for a small price but yes I think the way that Barker has gone is the way to go. I have talked to Thetford (which I almost bought) and they have no plans in putting pneumatic tires on their totes. Why would you buy anything else but Barker?

I have filled the tote and I pulled it with ease and my wife did it also and was impressed as well. Should not be a problem pulling it to the truck and using the ball hitch to tow it. I know to some a 42 gal is extreme but the price from the 32 to the 42 was so small we thought we would do it. And like the advice we got is figure how big a tote you would use and go one bigger

With a fifth wheel, this may not be doable, but I don't bother trying to tow or lug the tote tank. I throw the tank in the truck bed, use a macerator pump to fill the tote. Then, I can drive as long as I need to find a dump station, and when I empty the tank, gravity does the work for me.

X2, I tow my 32 gal Barker. A tote comes in very handy from time to time.

Same here used it once for gray water.
Dealing with it was difficult.
I think it's still up in the attic somewhere.

That's good. I will stay with what I do because a hand truck is useful for so many other things (like moving generators) that my back doesn't care for any more.

I bought one of those things years ago.
Then I realized that for our style of camping, there was either full hookups or no dump station within miles.
It laid under the workbench for about 5 years, gathering dust and spiders, then I sold it for $15 in a garage sale.
My only recommendation on the use of them is to be SURE there is a dump station BEFORE filling it!

I've seen people that have them mounted under the trailer. Very clean looking. Better that the back of the trailer!
