What axle do I have?

Turns out I have 5200 lb axels. Did not realize I just had to look at a sticker on the axel. Trailer is a 2018 Outback 325BH. Looking at MoRyde 4000 series or Lippert Road Armor suspensions as a fall project. Still trying to decide which. Morryde is the most expensive by almost double but gets great reviews.

I've never ever seen a 4400 LB axle on an RV because it has the same 10" hubs/brakes as a 3500 axle. 12" drums on a 6,000 axle.

there are a LARGE number of trailer with the 4400lb axles. yes, they have 10" drums, 6 lugs and most of them have a 5200lb tube, the spindle is also unique to the 4400lb.

Provided the manufacturer mounted the axles properly Dexter axle ID is stamped in the rear facing middle of the tube. Take a small piece of sand paper and a flashlight to see better. I can't speak for any brand other than Dexter.

There should be a label like this on the axle: 7 and 8K are the same with the exception of the outer bearing and most 7K have 1/2 lug studs, 8k will be 9/16.

nope: many many 6 lugs are 4400lbs

Just took the drums off my new to me trailer to do the bearings and on the right side/curb side is a tin tag around each axle and also a spray painted stencil on the tubes themselves that say 5,200. Makes sense as they are 12" drums and 6 Lug.

Axles are normally marked on the curb end (right side). Some have tag, some are stamped.
