Window Awnings

I would like to put up some window awnings on my trailer this spring, but want to know:

What brand do you have?

What type of fabric do you have on it?

Any brands to stay away from?

Any other comments?

Thanks

I don't know about window awnings, but we currently have an A&E patio awning on our motorhome. After having 3 Carefrees, I still like the A&E better. It operates faster than our Carefrees, and it much more forgiving if I forget and leave it out in the rain. It flexes more, and does a better job of dumping the rain water.

A&E ( Dometic ) Acrylic, which match our patio awning. Took us about an hour to install 2 of them.
Carefree used to be the best, but from what we heard from a friend who owns an rv suppy, the quality has gone downhill over the last 6-8 years.
True or just a rumor, I'm not sure.

Ours are Carefree and are 20 years old with no problems. I believe it's a vinyl coated fabric.

We use the 5th wheel at least once per month for weekend trips and/or several times per year for two week to several month long stays. The awnings are always deployed when we get to a spot and not rolled back in until we leave.
