Window Cleaning

I keep trying different things but I can never seem to get my tinted plex windows clean. Hard water spots and lots of little hatched lines here and there. Anybody got any magic tricks?

Tinted plexi? It's scratched. It's not glass.
But you can try the SoS pads, lol. Folks, please don't make suggestions like this!

Plexiglass scratches easily, and permanently. If you want it really clean, replace it.

#0000 steel wool will clean anything off glass and makes it smooth as a waxed surface. I have used it many times without making any scratches on the glass.

Avoid anything with abrasives or that film will just scratch up more. Make a solution of liquid automatic dishwashing liquid and filtered water, spray on and wipe off with a soft cloth, no paper products. Dishwasher liquid will remove all the built up water spots just like in a dishwasher. Also works great on glass shower stalls.

Not sure what plex windows are but we've always just used Sparkle and newspaper on our windows. The newspaper doesn't leave water spots or streaks but you will get newsprint ink on your hands. Easily comes off by just washing your hands.

From another forum, try Barkeepers Friend on a damp cloth. It is not abrasive. Also was suggested #0000 steel wool. I plan to try the BK on my windows.

Sprayway glass cleaner. Get the one with the. For some reason it seems to work better than the one with the combination cap/spray top. I it at O'Rileys or Walmart.

Vinegar & water. Cheap but not as good as windex.
