It's not the easiest drive from Three Rivers to General Sherman Tree and Giant Forest but it's easier not towing. Once you are there, it's not hard to drive over to Grant's Grove in Kings Canyon National Park. Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon is a relatively long drive though. Nice lake just East of Grant's Grove, Hume Lake? I'm blanking on the name.

Be sure to buy tickets in advance for the cave in Sequoia. I never planned for enough in advance and missed it when I lived in the area but I understand it is worth it.

We stayed at Sequoia RV Ranch and had a good stay. Though it is just a few miles from the gate, be sure to take note that you'll drive 30-40 min to get to the main attractions.
