- panamacamper1ExplorerCamping world has an awesome high chair that is made for campers. I had never been to a CW store before and saw one there that I would have purchased if my lil ones were still high chair material. Lol
- justALnowExplorerGo to campingworld.com and search item #70185.
- loulou57ExplorerCabela's have a folding high chair also. I am sure I saw one in Bass pro shop. They are made of the same material as one that goes in a bag. Most camping/ outdoor shops carry them now.
- SynEponaExplorerIf you can find a Kelty Convertible Stroller - it is the right height for a table, and *IS* a folding stroller. Bonus - it's also a fully featured hiking pack. We have one, but they don't make them any more -- occasionally I see them on used gear swap/sale sites.
For our just turned 2yo we use a clip on chair at the picnic table, and she just kneels on the seat in the dinette if we eat indoors.
This is the camping chair version -- a friend has them for her now 18mth & 3yo, and has used them for the past year. http://theportablehighchair.com/ It's just like the fold up into a bag camping chairs, but with a tray & harness to keep a tot secure. - IndyCampExplorerAs long as the table is not too thick (more than a few inches), it will work on any table. The table does have to be heavy/sturdy enough that the weight of the kid in the high chair will not tip it over. Any concrete table will be fine.
We have been fine using it on dining tables at relative's houses, picnic tables, etc. - wannavolunteerFExplorerIndyCamp, does that work on a concrete table... some of the parks around here have concrete tables and I want to buy one for my GD to use camping.
- apr67ExplorerWe used Bumbo's
- OaklevelExplorerCamping World sells a high chair that is like a folding bag type chair with the tray. Goes in the bag when you are not using it.
- skipncharExplorer:) is there a NON portable model?
- campingchrisExplorerThanks everyone for the suggestions. I found a saftey first folding one I may go with. I love the stroller idea kills two birds with one stone and would save space in the camper. :)
