Wet, humid, icky -- my sinuses hate it. Czarny hates it. Spousal Unit wants to go out to his train shed, but it's too wet for him to safely maneuver over the wet gravel, so he hates it. I'd be happy if it would just up and rain, instead of all this damp. Sigh.
The plumber finished yesterday. The electrician is in the shed now. Spousal Unit has yet to order a mini-split, so the building isn't totally finished yet, but at least we can begin moving model railroad stuff into it. The paint job was excellent, and it's most definitely blue. SU wanted all blue, so he can have appropriate skies painted above that particular module. Hopefully, one or more of our artist friends will take on the clouds jobs, as SU just can't paint a sky he's happy with, and I have zero talent there. General wall painting, yes. Happy clouds and trees, no way -- Bob Ross would be so disappointed with me...
So far, Czarny has escorted me to the shed three times, but refuses to go up the admittedly flimsy steps into the building. He might decide it's worth exploring inside once the wheelchair ramp is installed. If not, that's okay, too. He won't be in danger of getting closed into the building if he never goes inside.
Library volunteers are being feted tonight in a banquet, and we're all supposed to wear attire appropriate for the golden age of Hollywood. That took some doing, as I have exactly one "glamorous" piece of clothing, and it's a red and gold dragon jacket. Had to root around to find other clothing to go with it, but I believe I've succeeded there, and can use MIL's gold jewelry from that era for a more authentic look. Looking forward to the other folks' ideas of old Hollywood glamour.
Ah, well, time to get busy with the regular Wednesday chores. Later, y'all.
