05 Cat Engine Coolant change

Our 05 Revoltuino with Cat C7 has not had the coolant changed since 2008.
Freightliner(Cat doesn't do any service to over the road Cat engines anymore) wants appx $3,000.00 to change coolant hoses and possibly fan belt and clean cac and radiator, from draft tube residue. We installed a pre 04 filter for down road draft tube in 08 and cleaned cac and radiator with dawn and water from engien side with engine fan running but possibly not good enough.
Anyway the $3000.00 figure is something I want to avoid.
Speedco says 100.00 an hour and coolant and thermostats, maybe hoses which are now 15 years old!Engine has about 38,000 miles on it service regularily, probably too frequently, and has been stored inside for most of its life.
Anyone had Speedco or anyone else do a coolant change etc?
  • 2008 should have silicone cooling system hoses. They last many many moons.

Draw a coolant sample and take it to a Cat dealer. They will test it and advise. Very unlikely it needs to be replaced at 38000 miles and maybe what 1500 hours?
  • 1995 Dodge Spirit original hoses.

1988 Cummins 855-N series filled with 100% ethylene glycol, GATES green stripe hoses, and new 5-staggered row radiator. treated every year with Nalcool 2000.

Hoses are as firm inside and out as the day they were installed.

I chose DOW CHEMICAl antifreeze. No, it did not get gummy.

I selected 100% stainless steel CONSTANT TENSION HOSE CLAMPS.

And have experienced no hot or cold leaks.
