Working on getting 70-amp power supplies at a fantastic price. Adjustable
Will be used to provide permanent float for my AGM. Can be series connected for 28-volts @ 70 amperes. Once set multi stages not needed. We'll see if the vendor will part with them for less than $30.00 ea.

Apparently I have "lift-off" on the power supplies
Deal has been struck. Free Shipping bulk packaged. Units have paralleling ports. Unfit for flooded batteries these critters are for VRB only.

Boy, don't look at me for China cracks...

I chose Lifeline because it MUST be reliable for many years. Zero chance of warranty down here. The .105" plates says it all. I have no choice and IMPO the Lifeline is worth every premium cent. So much so I am investing a fortune in a true smart battery charger maintainer. Can't find one - make one.

Well I travel a lot so a fixed float charger for my AGMs doesn't work as they do indeed get discharged and charged. But that is a great price and I may get one for my bench work.

In the meantime my Magnum does a good job of charging the AGMs. And no it is absolutely NOT up and down charging. It charges the batteries, brings the float down to the temperature compensated voltage. And there the voltage stays regardless of house loads, well up to 100A anyway. But then it costs more.

Magnum did make design/cost tradeoffs that I've documented.

Can it then be implied that the Iota charge controller, then, delivers ultra clean DC power to all the batteries, regardless of voltage input? How do they filter the output? Have you scoped the output?

The Iota is a more expensive charge controller than a PD, does it make a difference when you are running a Honda Eu2000i for your generator and 120v power source?

Keep in mind, I am a layman with this stuff, you might have to dumb it down for me a bit to comprehend.
Dont forget that you have ~450ah of capacitor cleaning up its output. I went for the IOTA because I've used them in remote mtntop service for ham gear for years and they just sit up there and run and our analog voice gear detect lousy power long before these radios. I had a couple of questions before I bought all those IOTA's and the engineering team were happy to talk about what it does or what it should do. What I really want is something that works as well as the old IBM 12V analog supplies. Set em' and forget em. They will run full load all day long, no sag, no ripple, no noise. Lowbanders loved them. IOTA is very close.

Oh the horror!
Gee, they all seem to be supporting my $1.2mil worth of radios just fine.
I have four Fullriver DC220-6 AGM batteries in my RV and was only sarcastically relating the frequent adversion by some to these batteries just because they are manufactured in China. I've only had them for a couple of years but they are all I could have wanted. Lifelines wouldn't fit for my application, I'm glad I found these Group 27 6 volt AGMs.

Wouldnt be the first time I've run a scope on a Honda t prote t it. We have a Dranetz Power Analyzer that usually gets the same treatment. When you bring your power analyzer up to look at the goings-on, that last thing you need is to blow it up too.

But I'll take the drink and a dart or two.. ๐Ÿ™‚ How are they mixed when with Rum n' Coke?

You need to see the brighter side of things... you're exposed to less RF down there in a 3rd world country like Mexico, perhaps a little better for your health?

A matter of twenty-milliseconds of switching time being relevant?

Both..
The radios are all running DC off the batteries, but the Cisco Swx (they are dull duplex data radios) is on a 600W PSW inverter. Everything is sourced or powered from a pair of studs in the cabinet.

If I understand this correctly, the equipment is running off the D.C. power from the iota chargers while the batteries stay in float
The question is , is the equipment running directly on D.C., or is it running on ups inverters powered by the iotas, which then get power from the batteries in case of a power failure
Just wondering..
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

I wish the vendor had 100-power supplies to share SCV Jeff. Apparently the original price was three hundred dollars and change. Units use an inductive coil TVS power filter.
