AC won't run on 30 amp power?

Problem solved! The SPYDER control system was set on 15 amps (don't know why) and changing to 30 amps works one AC and everything else that is necessary. Thanks to all for your help.

PS: This was a friend's new Phaeton and he went through the first night without air, but he is near the NE end of Florida and it was a cool night.

It comes from Tiffin with the preset at 30 amps default. He or someone else changed the setting. The Precision EMS system is a very good EMS system, much better than the Intellitec. Doug

Yes it should allow one to run on 30 but... There may be an operator setting (I do not know since I don't have one) I have read of some that have a switch that must be switched to the proper position.

I use a different form of energy management on my Unit... (Split load. one A/C can be "Divorced" from the rest of the RV electrically_ )

Your only going to be able to run (1) A/C unit
And only if you eliminate other high draw items

Water heater and fridge on LP, batteries nearly charged up, light draw only
Turn A/C to fan fit ten minutes then switch to cooling mode

If you need the mw or convection oven you might need to turn the A/C to fan
Depending on the load shed capabilities

30A only 1 air conditioner at the time.

DO you have an Intelletec Energy Management System (load Shedder) I'm guessing that's your problem. On 30 amps it will show you the amps you are using. It may be set to turn off all A/C's or it may be feeding other loads or it may need a reset. a Fuse or...... Maintenance.

50 + 20 = 70 additional amps of 120V power (which your system needs to have everything work reliably)
