Power Awning
Been spent a lot of time getting ready for what may go wrong with new TT this winter. .This TT has a power Awning and was wondering if for some reason it wont retract how can you close it to get you home?..Any info would be great.

- Follow directions in manual if awning "fails to re-deploy". Which you can't do if you can't reach the awning motor.
- on the top, one my ends come off theres a spot for a 3/8ths rachet. crank away.
- I think it depends on the brand.

on mine, i remove the screw and manually roll it back in. If you do not have a 2nd person to hold the strap , tie the strap to a picnic table or something heavy enough to hold it. bobndot wrote:

I watched a video on YouTube so I'm ready. - It varies. On mine you need an allen wrench to remove a screw from the end of the roller tube, then you can manually retract it and reinstall the screw. Be sure to have a way to get to it, i.e. a ladder.

Then print them out and put in a notebook.- My TT didn't come with the darn strap. Maybe that's extra. LOL. I will half to ask. I feel this is one of many the things I need to be ready for. Thanks all.

Take a look at the stack of owner's manuals and warranty cards the dealer gave you. My strap was tucked inside the stuff for the awning. If it's not there, call the dealer, you should have received one.
The first thing I thought of with the power awning was how do you deal with it if it fails to retract when you push the button. I'm either paranoid, or I'm too well acquainted with Mr. Murphy.
