Another AGM conditioning question

Seems a new starting battery would be a better choice. I wouldn’t want to get stuck somewhere.

Twiddle the voltage setting on the Meanwell to 14.4 volts and you can leave it humming away for 2 weeks -- no sweat. Winter temperatures compensated for advice.

When I was using the meanwell on the first of the fiamms, I set it at 14.7 but it went up to 15.2 before I realised.

Is that not a concern at 14.4? Is the meanwell preferred over the smart charger for overnight at 14.4?

If it is the battery, it probably is a total loss.

Under those conditions, worrying about "conditioning" is probably a total waste of time.

To try and RECOVER the battery, put it on the highest capacity charger that you have for about 4 hours. If that charger is fully automatic, leave it connected for 12 hours or more to see if it comes back up to voltage or not (12.8 at least). But that's probably a waste of time too.

Desulfating, I think. Mex is the battery pro :)
