The Group 31 Fullrivers I bought a couple of years ago were priced just below the Lifeline Group 31's so ... if price means anything ....then ...

However #1, I admit that I don't know the plate thickness on the Fullrivers ... only their weight - which comes in at only 3 lbs. less, each, than the Lifelines.

However #2, the Fullrivers are 115 AH each, while the Lifelines are 125 AH each ... which may be coming from the Lifeline's 3 extra lbs. per battery.

Camping up-Island for now, popped into a local RV store, and they have the new Interstate 6v batts. On their labels it says, " ECL... 225 AH at the 20 hr rate." ($216 Can--but this store has higher prices than the other RV stores for everything, so can't go by that as typical price.) This should be impossible if indeed it is the HCLs that are 225 and the ECLs that are 210.

EDIT I had it backwards. Now confirmed that the 225 is ECL and the 210 is HCL Corrected my posts above.

So I guess the big question that hasn't been asked yet...

Can we buy the Duracell batteries and get the same quality and all as the Trojan GC2 or EGC2 and save money doing it?

A bag of CeMex cement is cheaper in New York City than it is in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, where it is made.

Interstate cross 2 borders to get it to Canada from Mexico, could be the reason.

Though, Canadian prices have always been weird and become weirder when exchange rates go up/down. Some US items are cheaper here than in the US.

Warranties cost Interstate distributors up the snot-box. They scream "ENOUGH!" The office boys run around in circles dodging pink slips...

And acknowledge the fact that warranty returns can sink a battery company faster than a lead wet suit.

Very interesting to sneak around a battery place and see what sits on the warranty reject dock.

Not cheaper here. Local Interstate shop says their new 6s are "from Trojan" The "ECLs" are the 225AH and the "HCLs" are the 210AH.

They are the replacement line for the previous XHDs from JCI which replaced the previous US Battery U-2200s some years ago. (I got my XHDs in 2011 so it was just before then)

This shop is asking $219 Can (about $164 US) for the ECL and $199 for the HCL. They have dealers around town who might sell them for other lower prices, but these guys try not to under-cut their dealers on price.

A Trojan T-105 sells around here for about $200 Can, so the Interstate ECL is not cheaper here.

Time2roll says he just got HCLs at Costco in California somewhere for $83 US----what a bargain!!! :)

When I was in Solar Bills in Quartzsite having the 435w panel installed on the truck, Bill pointed out the Interstates and Trojan 6v's and said they were made in the same plant.

After 6 years of my Interstate Grp 27 faithfully doing its job I gave it to another RV'r. Still going strong.
