Has anyone used the filter for using a Buddy Heater with a hose kit and 20# cylinder? I bought one and it would not flow gas through the outlet side. After I took it off, I found that it had gotten...

When you push on the brass stem button it should release pressure.
On the opposite side there is also a Schrader type (tire) valve down inside that will release pressure if you get down in there with something.
Both stems have to be depressed for gas to flow thru.
Since gas is getting into the filter it's pretty obvious the problem is with the outlet side stem not getting pressed.
If you are brave you might try hooking the filter up with pressure on it and manually spritzing a short burst of gas out as a test.
