There is probably a "splitter" in the coax line from your outside inlet to your inside outlet.
For satellite TV there can not be a splitter in the coax between the satellite dish and the satellite receiver. There can be a splitter between the satellite receiver and your TV.
Run the coax directly from your sat dish to your sat receiver.
For runs less than 100' either 75ohm rg6 or 50ohm rg59 coax is fine.
