- louiskathyExplorerLast time that happened to us... we realized that the cooling unit had leaked. This last time it was a very slow leak. The fridge kept running trying to make "cool". It never cycled to off. Finally the heating element burned out, the 5 amp fuse blew...the propane came on automatically trying to make cold... All it did was get hotter and hotter at the back of the fridge but nothing was in the tubes anymore so it could not make cold.
Is there any yellow powder or gunky looking stuff around the bottom of the fridge?
You have to open the compartment from the outside to be able to see the back of the fridge. - Fred_SheriExplorerMake sure you don't have it overloaded, and the interior fans are working,, then make sure the distribution chamber in the freezer compartment is not iced over,, Good luck, Fred
