My Dimplex BF8000ST had a heater element go out after about a year. Probably only was operated a total of maybe 100 hours or so. Warranty covered (Oct/Nov 2011 approx).
Now about a year later, same thing happened again.
I'd LOVE to find out if they are good folks to work with, but has anyone tried their number on the dimplex.com contact page? I get "you didn't dial the number correctly for customer service" and then I get the perpetual busy signal for the tech support. I tried on Jan 2, and then today Jan 3.
We LOVE the electric fireplace - silly yes, but what can I say. But we're not convinced they are a high quality device, yet.
