dirt devil power head

I have a dirt devil central vacuum cleaner in my TT. The original head that was air driven. It just didn't pick up good.
I have noticed that there are power heads that are powered electrically.
It doesn't look like its powered by 110 volts...it takes lowered voltage.
I have a 110 outlet net to where I connect the hose to the system.
Is there a way to adapt to it or do I need to buy a whole new system?
I haven't been able to find one from dirt devil. The trick is to find one small enough to fit in the same space.
