Dirt Devil central vac CV1500

Question

This vac works well with plenty of suction power for my 5er.  However, the wand is not at all sturdy enough. 2 wands have cracked or split on the end where the hose plugs into. The manfacturer does not make a heavier duty wand either.  Anyone have any suggestions or has anyone experienced this problem? I mounted the motor unit in the bsmt of my rig with an inlet installed inside the coach. Otherwise the vac works pretty good.

I used a small hose clamp where they split, has worked 4 years.

You might check with Dirt Devil, they have a new telescoping wand that has been working great for me.

I'll try the hose clamp.  Good thought.  Dirt Devil doesn't make a heavier duty wand

The hose, wands and attachments should be standard sizes so you should be able to find them at any vac store.

Ours has the telescoping wand - 3 yrs good
