Do i really need a tv? + audio static problem.

I've been trying to upgrade my entertainment options and so I bought a new 24 inch tv , right now I do have a tv but it's a small one with not so good picture , anyways i have a subwoofer behind my passenger seat and it has 2 car stereos hooked to it , one car stereo is in the rear of the van and I noticed that when I plug my phone into the line in connection at the stereo it really improves watching videos and tv.

I mean improves the experience a lot like you don't even need the video screen , I just occasionally glance at the screen and so the little phone screen actually does just fine.

However the line in audio connection occasionally makes a loud staticy noise.
I was thinking about switching to blue tooth to transfer the audio but i hate the idea of having to buy a new head unit.
I'm having second thoughts of installing the new tv because I'll probably have to add a invertor and plus then more power draw from the battery.

I already have a invertor in storage so I wouldn't have to buy one but I really don't like invertors.

Honestly when I bought the tv I didn't even try to see if it would run on 12 volts , i just assumed it would need a invertor since it was a bigger tv.
I'm now thinking that if I improve my audio that i would be satisfied with just some really good sound and the small phone screen .
Any ideas on how I can get my audio from my phone to my car stereo and get rid of that occasional static .

Another reason that i don't want to buy another head unit is that i put alot of time into customizing the one i have , i soldered cat 5 cable to the face plate so now only the face plate is in the rear , the head unit is behind the passenger seat , there's a different head unit in the dash , both stereos share the one sub , only one stereo plays at a time.

Oh yeah , in the last picture , conduit , it's my new love.

This Bluetooth adapter arrived in the mail and ended up fixing the static problem .
The Bluetooth works good while charging the phone too
I returned the tv , I'm thinking a cheap tablet may be a better screen

Another cause ... this will cause noise to show up every so often for about 1 second or less. is handshaking. The audio cable is picking up the RF (Radio frequewncy) from the phone.. But that only every time the phone handshakes with the tower.

You where right , I unplugged the phone charger and that solved 95% of my static problems, I think my line in cord connections are weak too , they randomly quit working and then I have to press them back together to get the audio working again , a lot of times when I do that my phones volume will go down to half way , and so I have to keep pushing my connectors together and then turn the volume of the phone back up.

It's really annoying but every time I get it to work it's really nice until the connection comes apart and the audio quits.

I think of the travel trailer as a refuge from tv. I just installed a new Pioneer tuner. I catch up on my reading. No internet, no phone ringing, no tv makes life worth living.
