Dometic 1350 cooling problems resolved

I did the modifications of installing baffling, insulation and cooling fan on my Dometic 1350 fridge. I followed the "All Seasons Mobile RV Repair Refridgerator Baffling" video on you tube. Needless to say by following this video and performing the work as mentioned it has made my refridgerator run more effecent. Before the mods my temp would rise up to lower 50's with the low end in the lower 40's. Now I can maintain 34-37 degrees with the setting on 4 while the outside temps reach mid 80's. I'm so thankful for you members that have posted comments to help me deal with my problem.
Thanks again

ps I would post pics but can't figure that out just yet

Should make Montana pay for the stuff needed to correct improper installation.

Course the installation manual does say that:
"The installation is to be performed by qualified personnel only" and "the refrigerator must be installed as described in this manual."

No qualified personnel and they don't use/read the installation manual.

Glad YOU got it properly installed.....baffled/insulated etc.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Scott. The factory installed my fridge about 3" of clearance from the back wall about 1 1/2" around both sides and the top. There was NO baffels nor insulation installed on my 2014 Montana. I had the unit back to the dealer couple of different times. Dealer said "every thing checks out good". So i the made contact with dometic and they told me its a ventalation issue. Thats when i started to investagate a d found that great video.

This is a good reminder that a lot of times, it is the OEM install (lack of correct install) that is the root of refer cooling problems. Doug

Good video - this makes for a great winter project. I followed similar directions and installed baffles and slopped parts to direct the heat straight out the roof vent. My fridge has no problems working on elect. at temps well over 100 degrees!
One thing I found troublesome though was how far from the back wall he had the fridge mounted (where he added some baffles). The directions for my Dometic say to have it no more than 3/4" or 1" (IIRC) away from the back wall - and that's how the factory did it.
