put an electric one in unless you are camping without electric hook ups.We have one of the bigger ones with a nice sized freezer and I think we got it for 60 bucks on craigslist. That was 4 years ago.
If your living in Ohio area if might be worth your while to look into getting the cooling unit fixed. If the unit was clean and under 10 years old and everything else worked perfectly, electric and the propane. I would run it buy a shop to see what the pros\repair place says.
Was hoping the boiling was a good thing but guess not. Thanks for the help, time to start looking for another fridge probably not real cheap either Thanks Again.
I had one that did this. It had lost the pressure causing the ammonia to boil. You will have to look at replacing the cooling unit or having it rebuilt, or what i did was find a used one.
Takes several hours for initial cold down How long have you had it ON? Is the rig level.......fridge needs to be level to operate correctly or damage can occur to cooling unit....can get blocked due to improper flow. Is the freezer section getting cool? It has to get cold first before food section can cool down.
Also what is the Model number.....Dometic has many different models.
