Dometic fridge

My dometic fridge in my 2003 cougar appears to be running all the time. I have it plugged into a meter so I can see when its running. Everything is cold in my fridge and the stuff in the fridge does not freeze. Freezer freezes like its supposed to. If I unplug the fridge the meter stops spinning. But with it plugged in the meter always spins. My electric bill was twice as much as most peoples last year at the campground we stay at. Any ideas on what it could be?
  • I had that with my hot water heater enblethen and when I plugged my camper in at home it would blow my gfci plug. It doesnt do that right now so not sure it's shorting to ground but I will certainly try it. I've had a decent amount of electrical problems with this unit so nothing would surprise me.
  • Swap to propane and see if electric meter stops spinning.

Heater element grounded should blow 5A fuse on control board.

Fridge running continuously should also cause food section to freeze
  • Heating element could be going to ground. Not enough to trip the breaker but enough to draw power.
Try disconnecting the element and see if it still runs. Do this at the circuit board.
