My freezer is cooling fine but the refrigerator is not working? it is on gas right now because we are leaving on a trip in the AM.
All help appreciated

  • It may be the thermistor on the refrigerator section fin.
That has happened to me before.
Good news is that if it is the thermistor it is an inexpensive easy fix.
  • If you are just running it on LP, and have not tried 120 volt, I would bet the burner simply needs cleaning.
  • I posted a similar situation re my Big Beautiful Bounder (c. 1995). The responses jointly told me that the unit was getting just too old to do any better. Never got worse, never got better. My response - traded it in while it was still working.
  • Well,it has been 24 hours and the freezer. Is colf but not the refridge

How long have you had it running? Takes a minimum of 24 hours they tell me. (Though mine seems to cool faster).
  • I HAVE A DOMEtic 4 door 1250 that has a defrost cycle every 45 hours or so(cant remember) but the 42 degree in the refidge part wasn't good . I had it at the dealer for 5 different occasions till they finally replaced the cooling unit and the brain, and electrodes, and shield in the slideout Now it works great.
  • What type refrig?? Need more details. Remember it takes about 24 hours for refrig and freezer to get cooled initially, longer if food is already in it. Check cooling fins in refrig, are they cooling at all??
