E350 RV turn signals

I would remove all but one signal light bulb, try each one in turn hoping one will work, proving the flasher and switch work. Then clean all contacts and substitute bulbs to see if lights will work. Check voltage on bulb and socket with no bulb - should show up grounding problems.

does the flasher click? Is it mechanical or electronic?

Take a look at the hazard light switch on top of the steering column and if it has a lot of crud around the hole then dirt has probably fallen down into the switch and is fowling the contacts. To fix this you disassemble the column, remove the switch and hose it out with a can of WD40. I discovered this after spending a week tracing wires looking for a short to solve the same problem you are having.

Year is important...do you have 4-ways? Brake lights?

I checked wiring diagrams for three different years of the Ford E350 and there is only one electronic flasher that serves the turn signals and emergency flashers. It would be good to know the year of the vehicle in question.

Moh Pah in the wisdom decided to hide the flasher in my toad a full arm length's up near the windshield. After the 2nd failure I got a Sure-Power bulletproof flasher that can endure running into a dead short indefinitely, reverse polarity, laugh at 100 volts, and has a guaranteed life cycle span of 10,000,000 flashes. It functions even disconnected from a load. FUNKtional flashers test my patience.

Voodoo - what makes the heavy duty flasher better than a standard one for his issue?

When I drove big rigs we couldn't use a standard car flasher, they would not work. Too many lights I'd guess. The all had heavy duty ones in. The work like a little motor instead of by heat.

By chance do you have trailer lights? If so something could be shorting there, I would remove all trailer light hookups from the light system.

What year is your RV?
Did the flashers work at some point and recently die?
If they used to work, it's not likely that the polarity reversal is the problem.
