Electric Cord Reel

My electric cord reel is not reeling in the cord. I get a buzzing noise, however, the wheel to reel To rewind it is not moving. Suggestions? I have the battery on a trickle charger now in the event that it’s low voltage unless anyone has any other suggestions.

    It’s the motor. Spoke with Heartland and there I’d a rebuild kit for it. Thanks guys!!

    A buzzing sound could also be a mechanical noise, such as a stripped gear in the reel's mechanism. One hopes that's not the case, of course.

    Could always get out your meter and verify voltage right at the reel.

    Let us know if that fixes your issue. We have an electric cord reel and have never had a problem with it, but it's still good to know if your solution worked.

    A trickle charger will take forever to completely charge a depleted battery, try a serious charger and wait till it is charged.
