finally an li battery I could use!

Hi all,

I have no idea of price. But at least it is available.

"Toshiba’s lithium-titanate (LTO) batteries, making the company something of an outlier in the electric vehicle sector. Lithium-titanate batteries can charge at temperatures as low as -30° Celsius, don’t need a heating circuit, and are highly regarded for their durability and very high resistance to catching fire."

  • Yes,

However my taxes are far less than the copay and medicare insurance that my Florida partner pays. In fact by about 50% less. And there is no "donut hole" in Canada. My earnings are about 400% more than hers.

Over a long period of time.

I'm 70. Free health care where I live. Stopped full time a month ago and have a paid for retirement condo. I'll work forever because I enjoy my work.

The RV will be an out of town work and recreational vehicle. Financially, used telecom jars make sense, especially since I was more or less forced into a remote start generator with a rack that will make theft difficult.

It looks as if these are similar in cost to the liFE4, but have ten times the cycle life. They can be discharged at C10 which is pretty amazing. Service temperature is -50 to +60 C (-58 f to 140 f).

Don ... thanks much for the link. They may get there eventually with just the right battery technology for vehicles. I only hope that the finally battery solution doesn't require such a messy and consumptive manufacturing process as to be worse on Mother Earth than the affects of fossil fuels.
