Bad luck with the fridge failing. I hope the replacement works well.

My Cooling unit failed last Monday.. Got ahold of the Service tech and she told me there is a guy in/near Elkhard who makes a compressor back for the standard RV fridge.. You have the same box. Same door. Same shelves. Same size issue. but the thing is now a compressor unit..

I went with an Amish Built .. It gets installed in 13 days.. Meanwhile I'm using a portable ice maker and ye old coleman cooler for the Fridge and my ENGEL freezer.. Nice having backups

I've seen their video before and someplace either in the notes or in another one of their other video's they talk about some issues they've had. Those issues are ice formation on the coils, for which they added fans, and difficulty getting the fridge below 40 degrees.

I'm curious if how it's working out for them now.
