Houghton A/C and auto gen start?
Since the Houghton's are remote controlled with no wall mounted thermostat is there a way to have the unit signal a AGS like the Onan EC-30 to start up the generator?

IF you had a Magnum Inverter/Charger, you could install Magnums Auto start system. This system has its OWN Temp sensor you install in the RV and that would engage the Genset. The Onan EC30 does not have this feature. Since your Houghton has only a remote you would have to figure out a way to run the Trip wires from the roof top unit down to the EC30 control. There should be on the AC unit a 12 volt wire that is HOT when the remote tells the AC to cycle on. Not familiar with your unit, but almost ALL AC controls are either 12 or 24 volt. Doug
