Jayco Greyhawk 2010 Electric Step

Hopefully someone has had this issue with their Kwikee electric step.
The electric step just decided to retract on it own. The switch wasnt touched. The ignition wasn't turned on. The wife opened the door and went inside. When she closed the door the step retracted. She didn't touch the switch that controls the door. When the door was opened the steps extended. Closed the door the steps retract. Anyone have this issue?
  • Must be a short in a wire or a bad controller. My steps will do that when the switch is in the on position. That's what I meant by "normal"

That is a normal condition for those steps depending on what position the switch is in. Maybe the switch went bad??

I dont get normal condition? The steps were extended. The wife open the door and closed the door and the steps retracted. They werent retracted when she opened the door. Doesnt matter what position the switch is in.The steps retract. I removed the switch and checked with a meter. All is good, I even went to the point of removing the switch out of the system.
