Kwikee step series 28??

Heck, since I'm here with all sorts of questions, may as well ask this one too. I have an older Series 28 single step Kwikee step on the motorhome. After a number of years of tapping on the mechanism to get it to retract, the motor finally failed completely. I know the general consensus is to use the 96 Ford Taurus driver window motor BUT after comparing my Series 28 motor with the aforementioned motor....its not even close. My gearing is much larger on the old motor and it has a lock ring on the shaft opposed to a much smaller shaft on the Ford motor.
Ay other window/step motor suggestions?

OK....well, I guess I figured it out hopefully. I discovered that a Cardone Model 82-306 appears to be an exact replacement so I'm ordering one from Rock-Auto at 29 bucks plus 8 in shipping.....best price I found!

Just to add to my own post....AM Equipment has gearhead DC motors and from the looks of it, either the Model 210 or 214 might work.....just not sure which one? It appears to be only mail order so I can't go out and compare mine to there's. I'm still researching this as you can see.
