LED strip Lighting aniversary

no voltage controller
no problem with charge voltage

I am doing leds not so much for the power, but because the others get so hot. With the LEDs, we can leave them on without worry about setting something on fire.

Any voltage regulation in your led circuits ?
Are these running at any more than a 13+ fixed voltage ?
Just curious how they hold up at 14+ charging voltages.

Another Be-Bop prehistoric group that was let out to pasture. In 1997 lin zao peng gasped when I told him that before 20 years passed one trillion LEDs will have been manufactured. Wish they could drive them to potential without needing a large and expensive heat sink. My 100 watt floodlight fixtures are beimg driven at 70-watts. As measured incoming AC

I think this is a mod I must make to our coach. It is one more thing I can do to save battery capacity when boondocking.

The lights over the cook top and over the table use 120 volts, so I need to use the inverter for them when boondocking. I need to find a straight 12-volt alternative. I've thought of running a 12-volt strip over the cooktop powered from the sink light, but I haven't yet figured out the light over the table.

i was not the first
i followed the lead of another member who did it
the light strip is a 16ft roll aka 5 meters, of led segments
every three discreet leds make (1) 12v section
cut them to any length using multiples of three led-sections
my (2) 30w fixtures(2*15) got 3 strips, each about 14" long
i think i measured using about 10watts instead of 30w
my small fixtures that were 18w (2*9) got two short strips and use 7w now instead of 18w

there are connectors you can buy for the ends of the cut sections/strips or you can just solder wires to them, to wire to the 12v switches in your lights
i did some with the connectors and some i soldered
there is a post someplace with picture, i will try to find the ones i took and repost

I'm not as creative as The Wizard so I bought the led replacement tube. I only went that way because it was cheaper than replacing the ballast which burned out. I bought two for the fixture and found that I only needed one to get a great, better light than the original florescent bulbs. So I replaced the bulbs in my second fixture. What a great change.

I'm sure glad you paid attention to all of us that told you about leds, and how much better you would like them. And looked at some of the pictures we posted. Just watch, and we will show you some more tricks with them!!
