Now we're getting into a price range that I consider reasonable.
About $3 each.

The ones I got last year for about $1.40 each worked but were barely adequate.

AND....I give extra points to a seller that specifies the light output measurement (most don't).

Thanks for the tip.

SMD is an acronym for Surface Mount Device, not a manufacturer. There are lots of quality manufacturers - Philips/Lumileds, Kingbright, GE, Osram, Sharp, Nichia, more.

And 5050 is a size (5.0x5.0 mm), not any particular LED.

MrWizard, you might have better luck searching for "BA15D", which is the base used by 1076 bulbs. Or "1142", which is a more common 12V bulb using the same base.

Nice people to deal with, great pricing, fast service and a good return policy.

They DO provide good information about their products.

But at $7.95 EACH, I don't think their pricing qualifies as "great".
That would cost me about $160 to do the interior lights in my RV.

But if I can't find good bright ones at a lesser cost, I might consider them.....after I get some more important stuff fixed.

I did buy the cheaper ones from Amazon and they all didn't work and a couple expired rather quickly. I learned that there are only 2 quality LED manufacturers, CREE and SMD. First and foremost I prefer CREE. For one, they are an American company based here (though they do have plants worldwide). They make a very high quality long lasting LED and SMD second in quality and longevity.

I don't mind paying a bit more because I don't ever plan on replacing any of them again. For me, it's a lifetime investment.

I have gotten all mine (and will get some more as time goes on) from SuperbrightLED.com

Nice people to deal with, great pricing, fast service and a good return policy.

Bought a bunch of LED's for my TC (all the clearance light bulbs and tail-stop and turn signals) and they sent me one wrong bulb. I called them and they sent out the right one plus a USPS prepaid address label to return the incorrect one. Had the replacement bulb in 2 days.

Just bought some more LED bulbs for my truck clearance lights and a set of LED headlamps. Nice folks to deal with...

Try the following, SB
or starbrightleds.com.

The Starbright lamps are great quality but very expensive. The Panels are out of date as the newer generation LEDs are much brighter.

Most of my fixtures are (were) florescent and I used led strips on aluminum and got too may, have to use SPDT to split into two intendancies.
