the only valve i could find on the water heater was on the cold water inlet and was told by a R.V.parts man that it was a back flow preventer which i replaced i looked but could not find any kind of valve on the hot side of the water heater
YOU didn't answer any of the questions
NO flow on hot side of faucets/shower......check valve on hot out bad
Flow but it is luke/warm ......bypass leaking thru from cold inlet to hot out (or outside shower not turned off using cold/hot knobs)
No flow but only at one faucet....bad faucet
Do you have a line that connects cold inlet to hot outlet?
Some use just 1 valve. It is a combo cold inlet and bypass
Turn one way water flows into water heater thru bottom line
!/4 turn and water bypasses water heater
This one is in bypass....valve handle perpendicular to cold inlet (parallel to bypass line). No valve in Hot out (top line) as it uses a check valve in fitting on tank
