LP problems

Hello RV'ers,
This weekend I went to turn on LP tanks, but the red and green gauge would not to turn to green when I turned them on.i turned the thermostat up to 90 degrees but it would kick in and then shut off and I would smell gas inside, and the 30# tanks are full, but could it be the diaphragm in the valve and would I need to buy a new regulator or is there something I should try, winters coming and we do winter camping

so looking for a little help,

Thank you.
  • I've tried the stove burners but nothing,
I too was wondering if it is the regulator changeover, it is a
2008 Cruiser, I've turned 1 side of the tank valve then went to the other side tank but still nothing, I even tried both tanks together but still nothing, the tank regulator still reads red and won't rise to green, "frustrating" because we like to do some winter camping.

    Thank you for your response.
  • Valve both cylinders out
Turn lever to one of the cylinders
Then SLOWLY open that cylinder service valve

Does the Red flag turn to Green?

Can you light off the stove top burners?

    NO.......
    New auto changeover regulator.
Yellow Gas Tape for threaded fittings on new reg/hoses

Then again....how old is this trailer?
Could be the pigtail hoses are faulty
