It is a 2002 Dutch Star by Newmar and it has an HWH computer controlled levelling system 610 Series.
It isn't quite the sequence of events as I posted above. The controller HYD button has to be pushed first and that turns it all on with the green travel light coming on, but that power immediately shuts off.
No chance to go to the next step of selecting a function such as "dump"
Manual dump with engine off, ignition on, and hold the dump button down gets you a little shot of air and then that quits. You can hear a whine from underneath when that is on after the air quits.
I have the 610 manual to read but haven't dug into it yet.
Yes, his brakes are on so the HYD button works.
