no electrical to rv outlets

Thanks to everbody but found the answer. It was tripped 20amp breaker on the inverter. Owners manual didn't show it.

Just had a similar situation...no 120v to the coach. Found that you cannot reset a GFI outlet unless it has power supplied. Once I reset the popped breaker, (which did not appear popped at all, but was) then I could reset the GFI and away we go! Still do not know why the breaker originally popped, but will just have to monitor the situation.

I checked the gfi and even put new one on but no help. I am not getting 110 to line in on the gfi.

Given this, it's extremely doubtful that a second GFI is involved.

my manual only listed one but I will look for other gfi

My Monaco '08 rig has 2 GFI circuits...one in the bathroom and one in the basement. Just to give you an idea of where Monaco likes to hide them ;)

My coach also has two GFCI's and it took a lot of patience before I figured out there was a second one on the house wiring, and a third on my inverter circuit (which is separate from the house circuits...).

Check the GFI outlets near sink etc. We had two circuits on our last Fifth Wheel. One side of RV wouldn't work. GFI near sink. Don't know what tripped it but moisture from somewhere such as heating the RV when it has been real cold.

Have you ever removed the faceplate of a load center? Do you know what a neutral bus looks like? If so, check the neutral bus for a bad connection, burnt wire, oxidation on the terminations. Check that power is on the outboard side of the circuit breaker powering the receptacles.

If you have two A/Cs make sure the blower will blow (Fan mode only) on both.

Now the problem Two of them

Many outlets in RV's are chained off the GFCI either in the bathroom or. another GFCI that manufactures like to play a game with called "Hide the GFCI". (Example, Under the bed).

IF one of these tripped. OFF goes your outlets.

Second. The wiring connections in the RV type 15 amp outlets is kind of ... Well Scary to me.. Not what I call a good connection at all. it's a insulation slicing knife punch down type connector These work great for say Telephones. but not so good for 10 amp plus loads. And your 1500 watt heater is what. 12.5 to 13 amps. This can easily overload those punch down connectors and cause them to loose contact.

If this happens you will need to track the line and figure out what the FIRST outlet in the chain is and check it.. Then the 2nd, and so on. See note below

Finally.. I have found many RVers have a few screws loose.. Like the ones in the breaker box. UNPLUG from shore power. then check ;'em all Breakers, and bus bars both.

NOTE: On my RV I have installed some 15/20 amp outlets, these are wired with 12ga wire which is bent into a hook, wrapped around a screw and tightened down tightly (They do not have punch down or stab connector options on a 20 amp, ONLY SCREWS.. If you need to know why, See my comments about the punch down connections above, they apply to stab (Stick wire in hole) as well)

They do not trip the nose alert (Hot wire smell) like the 15 amp RV type do.
