No power from genset

We have a 2005 Phoenix Cruiser MH. The Onan generator has stopped putting out power to the coach. Onan starts and runs great, but no 120V. Plugging into shore power, everything is fine. Any idea where to start looking?
  • Forgot to thank everyone for the quick and (as usual) correct response! It was the breaker on the genset.. I feel dumb for not knowing there was one, but I guess I can be dumb and just
rely on help from you folks:) Thanks
  • My coach had breakers on the generator and right after the generator. 4" box with 2 "pop-up" breakers on the wall in the generator compartment. Those were the ones that "popped".
  • The connections on my converter had one loose screw as romore said it fixed the same problem you are having. Make sure you cut all power including the inverter.
  • The generator is running so no problem there, it would quit if it wasn't producing power. Check connections at the transfer switch with the generator off and shore power disconnected, you don't want to get zapped, plus ALL the breakers.
  • Yep. Breakers first...then take a rubber hammer to the transfer switch and give it a "tap".
  • +4 on the breakers. If that doesn't do it, then I would check the Auto Transfer Switch.
  • +1 on the breaker on the genset. Don't just visually check, but flip to off position and then back on.
