Noisy Inverter Fan.....Chop a Fan Wire/ No?

A while back I bought a new 300 watt PSW inverter off ebay for a $25 winning bid.
Only problem, fan is noisy, and it runs 100% of the time.

Question, if its designed to run 300 watts in 100 deg temps w/ the fan, whats its chances of running 75 watts in 80 deg temps w/o the fan. I just need some good guesses before chopping a fan wire :))
  • A friend of my brother had a brother had mostly good luck racing railroad trains to the crossing.

Fans cost five dollars. This is supposed to be a new 300 watt PSW interter
Why is this even a question?
  • Someone gave me 750W inverter and I used it to power a DirecTV receiver. I clipped the fan wires and lived happily ever after.

Remove fan, measure size, jump on Tiger, New Egg, Mouser, Digikey, etc, and buy a new one for $10 or less?
  • Car has flat tire -- convert it into a three wheeler?

    With regards to heat...

    This guy said...

    YES I CAN!

  • My GoPower 300w SW inverter will not spin the fan at 75 watt load.
Worst case you are out $25. If it is any good it should shut down for over temperature but that could take a toll to continue doing that.
