norcold 611n

Question

i'm sure from what i have seen several people have had similar problems so hopefully i can get an answer, i have a norcold n611 that will not cool in ac mode but will in gas as long as  the ac cord is unplugged from the trailer or i have no ac going to the trailer, the gas will work until i plug the ac cord in or start the generator then the gas shuts off and it doesn't matter if the switch is in gas or auto it does the same thing and shuts off. the ac heater is good but i bought a new one and replaced it just to make sure and it still did the same thing.i also checked voltage to the power board @ 108 vac that is what it should have according to the manual also the manual says change the power board the power board is also new i have not tried another power board yet but i have reset it numerous times and it seems to repeat the no co code immediately after i return power to the refrige after resetting it i hope i did not get a bad board. has anyone had this problem before?

First: the "no co" code means "Not Cooling".

Second: 108 VAC is the minimum voltage. It should be in the range of 108 to 132 Volts.

Best case: your line voltage is too low.

Worst case: you have a bad heating element.

My heating element is brand new and ohms out good even though my line voltage is at 108 the limits are 108-132 it should still work at 108 or why put those limits there? but i will try a direct line from the house and see what it does odds are it still won't work, but i hope I'm wrong and if i am wrong what would cause my line voltage to be decreased?

well i plugged my line into a direct house current and it started cooling so correct me if i am wrong but the only thing it could be is the converter losing ac voltage or a bad outlet. according to most of the forums and other sights i have read on the converter, a parallex 7300 it is normal or working normal. at the converter i am getting 109.6 vac at the gfi i am getting about the same at the external outlet i get 108.6-108.9 at the outlet to the refrigerator i get 108-108.2 the voltage from the house is 110 some where i lose up to 2 volts and the forums i have read state between 102-120 volts are the normal operation for all converters. i haven't checked the voltage my generator is putting out but i do know that my refrigerator gas shuts off when it kicks in the same as it does when i plug in to house current i will have to check all my connections  and see if i can find something there,very frustrating!

It looks like 108 Volts is too low to run your refer.You need a better source of AC power for the trailer.
