Norcold li op code, but reset by itself?????

I have the Norcold Polarmax 2118 in my 2016 Bighorn. Today, in humid weather after a heavy downpour, the fridge started beeping with the dreaded li op code.

I had this code once when the rig was new, and found insulation blocking the vent. Cleared the vent, cleared the switch with a magnet and all good.

This time I just turned the fridge off and on and it resumed normal operation.

Any ideas???????
  • The "NORMAL" operation of the rear Hi temp recall switch is to lock out if it trips and you do the magnet reset. Now, the "NORMAL" operation of the NO CO (no cool) code is to lock out and you have ONE try to turn the refer OFF and restart. IF you have NOT corrected the reason for the NO CO, it will trip the 2nd NO CO and lock out the control board. If you have corrected the 1st NO CO, the refer will resume operation and once it completes a normal cool down cycle the 1st NO CO is erased from the system. Now you state Heavy rain. But, have you checked for water intrusion on the back side of the refer by the recall box? If you have water on that box, it was probably a water caused short circuit. Never heard of that tho. The Norcold Training rep will be at our facility this week. I will ask him about what you experienced. Doug
  • Our refrigerator is an a different model of Norcold and older, but, it has done some strange things in real high humidity, then corrected when things dried out. You may have had rain blowing into the vent openings that got a connection wet. Doesn't happen often, but does happen with wind/rain occasionally.
  • Heavy downpour and fridge acts up..........hummmmmmmmm :H

Best be checking for water intrusion.
