Your fridge uses 2 AC heater elements

Replace both.....$40/ea

Suggest Lowe's and check out Frigidaire 1837 Freezer on top and reefer below. Had your model no-cold and after new reefer had 1 1/2 inches each side open. Great unit. Ice Cream so cold you cannot scoop with out hot water on scoop!!! More space than no cold!....

ok i found out it is the heating element bad now need to find out what resadenl fridge will fit my coach is a 2005 vectra 40fd any help

date just ran gen and i get the he code when gen running now works ok on lp

Or maybe a bad dog bone..Dennis

Might help to know if you are plugging the fridge directly into the 110 volt outlet. Or, are you plugging the motorhome to the 110 outlet using a dog bone to go from 50 amp to 110 volt outlet. Maybe a bad circuit.

'HE' error causes

*Could be Low or High AC Voltage (below 108V or over 132V)

*Could be loose/dirty heater element connections..check element leads at circuit board

*Element bad.....check resistance of element (58-68 ohms)

*If element tests OK.....could be circuit board





You state only get when plugged into outlet at home.....15/20A?
What 'other' devices are on that same circuit?

Error clears when you run generator...or plug into a real RV receptacle (50A) or have you tried that AFTER you get the error?
Cause if OK on gen/50A after error on house outlet.........then house outlet/AC power would be suspect vs fridge.
